The work of the VCH was highlighted at that the AGM of CWAAS, one of the project's biggest supporters, on 13th April. This was an opportunity to celebrate the publication of Kirkoswald and Renwick and outline research plans for the future. This includes our proposed 'big red book' for Lonsdale Ward.

The Third Meeting of the Trustees took place on 14 April, to revise the project plan and agree The Way Forward following the rejection of the HLF bid. Read the Project Plan here.

Linking in with the British Festival of Archaeology, Bay Archaeology Festival: Rediscovering the Bay’s Old Ways will take place from 16 – 31 July and will include family activities, a lecture series, walks, talks and training opportunities.
