Oral History Event 16 May

On Saturday 16 May the Regional Heritage Centre, Department of History, hold their final whole day event for the season, Recording the Past – making oral histories in the North West.  Speakers include two names very familiar to long-standing supporters of the Centre – Dr Elizabeth Roberts and Dr Jean Turnbull. We are very excited that Professor Lucinda McCray, Elizabeth’s collaborator in pioneering oral history research in the 1980s, will be joining us on a rare visit from her academic base in the USA.  Two other speakers complete the line-up: Anthea Boulton and Veronica Whymant.  Full details of the study day are here, and you can book on the online store here.
