To mark the rededication of the VCH as part of the Jubilee celebrations, a new research project has been launched for 2012. Building on the  excellent progress that VCH Volunteers have already made, the aim is to produce a set of historical data, known as “Jubilee Digests”, for each of the 311 parish/townships for which a separate VCH article will eventually be written.

Last week, volunteers attended a meeting in Penrith to discuss the Jubilee Digests. The project has been met with great enthusiasm, with volunteers offering to produce Digests for over a quarter of townships in the next few months.
